In recent years the PCCS annual scientific meeting has established itself as the pre-eminent UK conference for members of the paediatric critical care community. This has been reflected in high attendances, fantastic engagement from clinicians and industry, and an ever-increasing social media reach.
We are therefore very excited to be hosting our first virtual conference E-PCCS 2020 – this is also our first conference as the Paediatric Critical Care Society. With this in mind, we have put together a programme that spans the full spectrum of critical care. We hope that whatever your profession or place of work you will find something to engage and inspire you.
This year has been one of the most challenging ever for the healthcare professions but this presents an opportunity to learn for the future. Several of our sessions focus on reflections from the last 6 months and how we can translate this into meaningful change for the future of our speciality. We are also celebrating the WHO International Year of the Nurse with a dedicated session chaired and delivered by inspiring nurses from across the UK. In another first for our conference, selected special interest groups have been offered the opportunity to curate their own session. This has allowed members of those groups to have their own say in how the conference will look.

Abstract submission is now open until 31 August: http://abstracts.picsociety.uk
We look forward to welcoming you to E-PCCS in October and hope you find attending a valuable and stimulating experience.
