PICS changes name to the Paediatric Critical Care Society (PCCS)

The Paediatric Intensive Care Society (PICS) was established in 1987 as a multidisciplinary membership society for professionals working within the paediatric intensive care setting. Over the past three decades, the speciality has undergone significant changes, including a greater focus on the care of the critically ill child across the entire pathway (acute care through to high dependency care, transport and intensive care). In recognition of these changes, and to better reflect the professional background of our members working across various critical care settings, PICS changed its name to the Paediatric Critical Care Society (PCCS) in 2020.

With the launch of a brand new website and a revamped members portal, the transition to PCCS is now complete! Please feel free to browse the new website and find out more about PCCS and the membership benefits.
