The BMA has confirmed that junior doctors will take strike action on 13th – 15th March 2023. As a multidisciplinary membership society, PCCS stands by the right of all its members to take industrial action as directed by trades unions. However, it is unfortunate that the situation has escalated to the point where such action is necessary.
During the strike, NHS Trusts will endeavour to mitigate disruption through temporary changes in working patterns. However, there is a need for a significant investment in the National Health Service workforce to address the root cause of the dissatisfaction. PCCS urges all parties to engage in immediate and meaningful negotiations to resolve the ongoing crisis.
