Intravenous Fluids: The State of the Art Conference – Manchester, 29 Jan 2016

We are organising a Study Day on Friday 29 January 2016 entitled ‘Intravenous Fluids: The State of the Art’ which will be relevant to anyone who prescribes or administers intravenous fluids.

We have secured a stellar cast of international speakers including Professor Can Ince (Professor of Translational Physiology at the Academic Medical Center (AMC) of the University of Amsterdam & Department of Intensive Care of the Erasmus Medical Center Rotterdam), Dr Michael Stroud OBE (World authority on extreme physiology), Dr Peter Crean (author of the forthcoming NICE guidelines on intravenous fluids in children), Dr Joe Brierley (Medical President Elect of the European Society of Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care and Consultant in Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care at Great Ormond Street Hospital) and Dr Rachel Lennon (Wellcome Trust Intermediate Clinical Fellow).

I have attached the programme and details of how to book a place (seats are limited, so please apply early). I’d be very grateful if you could cascade this invitation to members of your multi-disciplinary team

We hope to see many of you there.

Steve Playfor, Consultant Paediatric Intensivist, Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital
