  • Developing a bronchoscopy curriculum and accreditation programme**
-Creating a structured, evidence‑based training and assessment pathway to standardise bronchoscopy skills and enhance patient safety.

  • Developing an airway education programme (webinars and face to face) to support CPD on airway management in critically ill children

  • Advocating for waveform capnography as a minimum monitoring standard*
-Promoting the routine use of continuous waveform capnography for all advanced airway management and ventilated patients to reduce preventable harm.

  • Reviewing PUMA (Project for UNiversal AIrway Management) Guidelines
-Contributing expert evaluation to ensure national airway guidelines are robust, evidence‑based, and aligned with best practice.

  • Building a national network of PICU and transport airway leads
-Strengthening collaboration and knowledge‑sharing across units to drive consistent standards and coordinated quality improvement.

  • Surveying training and confidence among airway assistants
-Identifying variation in preparation and competency to inform future training frameworks and support safer team‑based airway care.

  • Shaping national safety initiatives, quality‑improvement work, and education projects.

  • Providing leadership in developing standards, addressing system gaps, and promoting reliable, high‑quality airway management across paediatric critical care.

  • Sharing details of CPD events, courses and education opportunities.

  • Developing a national platform for sharing learning from difficult cases.
